Take 6 Legged Tees for exampel – they’re making trendy tees and treating them with something called InsectShield. In other words, they’re binding odorless permethrin to their shirts to offer you 24 protection against mosquitos and other unwanted bugs. The technology works great: it doesn’t alter the color or feel of the shirt, it doesn’t smell at all, and it lasts for 70 washings. And even after you hit 70 washings, you’ve still got a nice looking shirt made with American Apparel’s super comfy Tri-Blend material. Their project is fully funded on Kickstarter but you’ve still got 30 days to continue funding and get yourself a shirt or twelve.
