Minimalist Gaming Shirts

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Game Time    Posted date:  July 19, 2012  |  No comment

[$24] If you wear a shirt that says “Zelda Forever” or “Link Is My Homeboy”, society is going to, well, collectively duct tape you to a flagpole. However if you wear one of these Minimalist Gaming Shirts, you’ll probably find yourself showered in compliments. (more…)

Pocket Bocce

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Game Time    Posted date:  May 3, 2012  |  No comment

[$15] Bocce rules, no one is questioning that, but a good bocce set weighs as much as a small cow. For quick games of Bocce on the go, consider Pocket Bocce. (more…)

Grand Theft Auto 5 (Yes, We Posted the Trailer)

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Game Time    Posted date:  November 2, 2011  |  No comment

[$60] Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming. When exactly we don’t know, but it’s coming. Sure as gas after a Chipotle burrito, it’s coming. GTA V is making a triumphant return to San Andreas, and it looks bigger and better than ever with superb graphics and unbelievable levels of detail. How do we know? Because we watched the Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer of course. And then we posted it… right after the jump. (more…)

Battlefield 3

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Game Time    Posted date:  October 27, 2011  |  No comment

[$60] It’s no surprise that Modern Warfare 3 is the most highly anticipated game of the year, but don’t let Battlefield 3 fly under your radar in the meantime. There’s not much we can say about the game that hasn’t been said already- it looks amazing, the variety and and sheer size of the maps is unmatched, and the gameplay requires more than just a quick trigger finger. So instead of blathering on about the same stuff you’ll find on any good gaming website, we just want to show you this ridiculous video we found (after the break) of BF3 running full tilt on a dual GTX580 rig. (more…)

Pixelated Game Character Tees

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Game Time, videogame    Posted date:  September 8, 2011  |  No comment

[$24] Do you have trouble sleeping? Is it because you toss and turn at night with questions of what your favorite video game characters would look like in 16 bits? Well then you have some seriously deep-rooted issues and should probably seek professional help. Or you could just check out these High Score Society Pixelated Game Character Tees. (No, but really: get help.) (more…)

Special Edition Star Wars Xbox 360 Slim

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Game Time, Star Wars    Posted date:  July 22, 2011  |  No comment

[$450] The hardcore nerd in me just hardcore sh*t my pants. Yes, that is an Xbox 360, and yes, it is painted up like R2-D2, and yes, you can buy one this winter. The Star Wars Xbox comes with a Kinect motion sensor to match, a C3PO themed controller, and a Star Wars game that 10-year-olds will probably love and the rest of us probably wont. Follow the link for more images and ordering info. (more…)

Fieldrunners HD Official Android Launch

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Android, Game Time, Games    Posted date:  July 7, 2011  |  No comment

[Free-$1] Score another victory for Android gamers: Fieldrunners HD launches today on Android-based devices! In typical Android fashion, it’s like nine years behind the iPhone launch. But that’s ok! Better late than never. (more…)

PlayStation Vita

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Game Time, PlayStation, Tech    Posted date:  June 7, 2011  |  No comment

[$250-$300] Sony has had a pretty iffy relationship with gamers lately. The whole allowing-your-personal-information-to-fall-into-the-hands-of-hackers thing was totes shitty, not to mention the failure of Move to really wow audiences the way Kinect did. So their timing in announcing the PlayStation Vita, the followup to the PSP and a quantum leap forward for mobile gaming, couldn’t be better. (more…)

Fling: Analog Joystick for the iPad

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Game Time, iPad, Joystick, Tech    Posted date:  May 16, 2011  |  No comment

[$20] Gaming on the iPad is constantly improving, but the one big drawback is the amount of games that require you to wipe your big, sausagy fingers all over the screen. Not that that isn’t the point of a tablet, but it’s hard to game when your fingers are in the way. The Fling Analog Joystick from Ten One Design is probably the best fix available right now for games using on-screen controls. (more…)

Portal 2

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  game, Game Time, videogame    Posted date:  April 20, 2011  |  No comment

[$50-60] The cake is a lie, am I right? I’m not wrong. Yes, Portal 2, launched today and it’s every bit as good as the original, if not better. GLaDOS is back along with a slew of other characters, not to mention a bunch of witty British banter. (more…)

Flight Control / Air Control

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Android, Game Time, iPhone    Posted date:  March 31, 2011  |  No comment

[$1-$5] It’s funny how dumb little smart phone games can become so addicting- one innocent download and suddenly you’re taking dozens of unnecessary “bathroom breaks” at the office just to get a fix. And then inevitably your coworkers think you’ve become addicted to crack, then comes the drug testing, and it’s just downhill from there. As hard as it is to admit, this is exactly what Flight control for the iPhone and Air Control for Android have done to us. (more…)

Dino D-Day

Posted by: uppgrade    Tags:  Dinosaurs, Game Time, videogame    Posted date:  March 18, 2011  |  No comment

[$18] With the constant stream of overly serious, war-themed shooters being released, it’s good to know someone in the gaming industry still has a keen eye for the ridiculous and the awesome. Dino D-Day, originally created as Half-Life 2 mod by the characters over at 800 North, has a ton of both, and will be available soon as a full featured game. (more…)
